Upon arrival the staff where very welcoming we thought we had booked a room with cooking facilities but it turned out we hadn’t. This wasn’t a problem as they upgraded us for a small fee. When showed to our rooms the manager helped carry our suitcase up to the second floor which was lovely of him to help. When we had seen our room it was spacious enough for a needs with a double bed, fridge, sink and cooking hobs, small balcony and small bathroom. The room was clean and got cleaned every 2 days by the cleaners who would ask if it was okey to enter your room. All remotes e.g tv and air con where wrapped in cling film I think this was due to Covid so was easier to clean. Every day when we went to leave the hotel staff where freindly and would have a little chat even when we arrived back from a day out. I would advise to have a car as there is not many places you can go in walking distance. The only issue with our stay is that the sun loungers outside the hotel came at a fee even though we where staying there which we didn’t think was acceptable. Overall our stay was lovely and I would definitely recommend to people.

the room was nice, clean and comfortable. but that's about it for this average accommodation. the bathroom is incredibly small.
there are a lot of stairs to climb in the back and this can be difficult when carrying luggage. the hotel is very close to a beach, but the beach is small and there are a lot of better ones around the island - we actually never went to this beach during our 7 nights stay there.
they made a confusion on our booking, but the guy there was on and found a decent solution to this.

Studios have a wonderful view of the sea , they are very well equipped and appear to have been recently renovated. The sea is just across from the Studios, but beware crossing the main road. The staff were really friendly and informative

We stayed there for three nights during August at the building B, which is at the back of the main building. It's impossible to climb there with luggages and there is no mention for this before the booking. You need to pass three stairs and one hundred steps to find your room.
The room was dirty and there were rats running on the ceiling every night which makes our sleep a real nightmare. The door of our room has also a broken lock.

Quieter than nearby Lefkada but within easy reach of the numerous beaches. This is a wonderful place to stay and experience real Greek hospitality and atmosphere. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the family and, despite the fact that we arrived much earlier than their normal check-in time, were given an oustanding Greek braekfast. Beautiful location. Excellent value, Very clean and comfortable rooms, al with views. We will definitely retrace our steps back to Mavra studios. This is Greece as it should be remembered. Overall - highly recommended.

Mavra Studios is a very nice place in the quite little town of Lygia. During our stay in May everything was quite and peaceful, we assume that in high season there is more hassle...
The owner is very friendly and helpful!
We had room B1 with a good bed and a nice terrace and balcony.
Rooms with sea view could be a little noisier because of the street.
The room is clean and comfortable with a small kitchenette what we really appreciate.
Parking in front of the house.
Best is the small and clean private hotel beach in front of the house with clear water and good sunbeds.
All restaurants can be reached within a short walk.
We will come back!
