The natural location of this farm is exceptional, with the Santa Lucia river in front of it and lush vegetation all around. Adjoining the property is Mariani Park, a beautiful place to walk or relax, where you can see the presence of eaglies (this is the reason for the name "Sas Abbilas", meaning "Eagles"). Sardinian traditional cuisine. It is open year round and you can stay in warm, welcoming rooms.

4 Aussies over 50 stayed one night in this beautiful valley in Sardinia. Country hospitality and true local food. Such a peaceful haven after 3 nights in Rome. This was a sample of rural life and agri tourism. Close to fantastic archaeological sites.

We spent one week i june at wonderful Sas Abbilas. We were very well received by Antonello and his familymembers and staff. We had a nice room with view over the beautiful valley and was served very good traditional sardinian food. We went out on two excursions by horse in the surroundings well guided by Antonello. Everyone at Sas Abbilas were very helpful despite we didn't speak any italian. By the end of the week it felt like we belonged to this italian family! We highly recommend Sas Abbilas!

we go to family-run Sas Abbilas every year ever since my parents, who live locally took us there few years back. Having been to several other agriturismo in the area we can safely say this is by far the best we've seen. The food is always fresh and plentiful, the wine is delicious, the settings gorgeous. This is a real find and can't recommend it enough. we only ever use the restaurant, so this review does not cover the sleeping facilities. you have to book in advance. The menu is set. A selection of antipasti, including fried veggies and a selection of the local cheeses and sausages as well as other local typical dishes (cordula being our favourite). First main course is usually pasta or one of the local delicatessen: boiled bread (pane a fittasa). the second main is usually meat, the traditional piglet and or lamb. But the menu varies all the time and it includes a very good selection of the traditional specialties. The owner is a very friendly guy and if you speak Italian will answer all the questions you may have about the food and wine. The atmosphere very the price is very reasonable (around 30 euros per head) and very good value for money. Coffee and mirto/limoncello will wrap it all up for you nicely and you may need a little snooze on the fields around the place before you get back in your car. once again, a real gem.

we've been at Sas Abbilas several times and I can only apologise to the owner for not writing a review earlier. If you are after the full Sardinian agriturismo experience, lovely surroundings, and authentic, local, fantastic food, then Sas Abbilas won't disappoint you. i've never stayed overnight, so this is only about the restaurant. You book, you show up, you eat what they've cooked on the day, relax in the fields around the place and go home happy. I can't fault the food, the wine, the service, the atmosphere. It really is an amazing place. the menu includes antipasti misti (SArdinian sausages, lardo, pancetta, cheese, and plenty more), a first main which may include boiled bread (not as simple as you may think, in fact a real delicatessen), and/or pasta. The second course may include the almost obligatory piglet and or other such as lamb or sheep (again, a local speciality). sebadas for dessert, coffee and mirto. the works for 30 euros per person, which I felt was great value for money. this is a real gem. can't recommend it enough.

Hard to find, about 10 kilometers outside Bonorva, nevertheless definitely worth the trip! Its a small farm in an absolutely gorgeous valley, they only have a few rooms (excellent, recently renovated). It was run by a single farmer and his brother, both very hospitable and talkative (Italian only). At night it was just us and the farmer, he prepared the food and we shared it, dining together at one table. This was the real farmers stuff, no restaurant food but a few great stews with things like pig's feet! We only stayed one night but a few more would have been real nice too. Good experience!
