Great location. 1 block from the Metro station. On the canal with lots of food options nearby. The neighborhood is largely residential with lots of little bakeries and very safe. Breakfast was fine with eggs, beans, sausage, several types of bread, cereal, fruits, yogurts, juices and coffee. The checking and out was super fast and no hassles at all. They arranged for our taxi on our last day (fixed price to the train station/airport). Staff very helpful and spoke fluid English. Rooms are standard but relatively new. This hotel is a good choice over the more expensive hotels in the historial districts. Lots of nearby parks that turned out to be remarkably enjoyable walks. The Park de la Villette houses the amazing Paris Phiharmonic. It is an architectural masterpiece that goes under the radar of most visitors to Paris. It is a super modern building decorated with Escher motifs. It feels like you are inside one of his surreal paintings. Also, the other nearby park, Buttes Chaumont has a Central Park vibe with the classical Paris elegance. It even has a transplanted giant sequoia that is doing very well in the Paris climate. From the center of the park you get a great and different view of Paris. Definitely would recommend this hotel and would gladly return on a future visit.

This is our 3rd stay. Our 1st visit was when it was fairly new in 2008 and we loved it. The rooms are a great size, clean and tidy, staff are multi lingual and breakfast is great value. The canal de la Vilette is a great view with quant little bars close by for a coffee, beer or a meal. The subway is a 5 minute walk (Riquet Station line 7) that will take you straight to the Louvres Museum. Due to the train strikes this visit we walked to the hotel from Paris Norde train station which is a nice 20 minute walk. (Google maps will help you, keep in mind, the walk is through probably the most multi cultural districts of Paris which we love!) On a side note, there is no room service meals however a supermarket is a 10 minute walk. We highly recommend Holiday Inn Express, it gives you a good taste of Paris.

Booked here for a few days holiday + a concert and it was exactly what we needed. A place to rest our head at the end of long days of sight seeing, some breakfast and a good quiet location. I had emailed prior with some requests and all of them were met which we really appreciated especially with the hotel being so busy. The breakfast was great with plenty to choose from. From someone who goes to Holiday Inn Express’ often in the UK, this breakfast was miles better. We were in room 205 and the room was spacious with big smart TV’s you can beam anything from your streaming apps on via chromecast, canal view and has plenty of toilteries including shampoo and body wash which saved a shop trip to buy some. I had enough EU to UK plugs but it’s nice to see they had USB ports by the bed incase you didn’t have one. The concert was at the La Zenith arena which was a 15 minute straight walk to there so it’s perfect for people attending there. Had absoloutely no problems. The staff were all lovely always smiling and saying bonjour to us when we walked past and asking how we were. I’m sad I can’t remember any of the names there but 2 staff specifically were very helpful and gave great service (a gent at the bar who was there each night with glasses who made me pizza and toasties in the evenings and a gent at reception who checked us in with dark hair sweped back and recommended I charged my food to my room to get IHG points - checked in about 3pm - we stayed 11th April-14th so hopefully the manager reading this knows who they are and can pass that on how lovely they are). We absloutely loved our first visit to Paris and we will certaintly be coming back here as soon as we can even recommending here to friends and family.

The hotel is clean and functional, which is a definite positive. It's located in the 19th arrondissement, which is a slightly rougher and more lively area of Paris, which makes it not so comfortable wandering around late at night if you are so inclined. There are metro stations moderately close by, which is generally convenient. The staff are generally courteous. The breakfast was perfectly acceptable.

The hotel has several bars in the same building as it, which, should you be cursed with a room close to them, means that there will be a significant amount of noise in the evenings - especially after midnight or 1am, and on weekends, well up to 4am. Should you have trouble sleeping, requesting a room change may be in order.

The hotel has few amenities and the rooms feel confining. It lacks a truly comfortable lounge area, and what seating area there is in the lounge is unceremoniously plunged into darkness after 11 or so, regardless of whether you wish to sit and read or work.

I never really ended up feeling comfortable in this hotel, and never enjoyed my stay, which was long - lengthened all the more by the lack of ever feeling at home there.

Dear Kelihurtin, Thank you very much for your feedback. It's very important for us to receive a comment from our last guests and theirs stays to know on which points we can improve our services. We're delighted you've appreciated our staff and the breakfast but we also take note of the other remarks that you let and we're sorry you didn't like the location of the hotel. It's true it's a lively and young place but don't worry it's not an unsecure area even if we have to turn off the lights in the hall after midnight for security reason and also to do not encourage someone from outside to enter in the hotel whitout any reservation. For the other things we're very disappointed you didn't like the hotel and the rooms but know that you also have bigger rooms than which one you had. It's true it's a little more expansive but you'll have more space... If you decide to come back later in Paris we would be happy to welcome you back for another stay and to show you our Hotel has all the elements necessary to propose you a pleasant stay :). Kind regards, Antoine.

Do not trust this Hotel with your reservation. In good faith, we booked and part paid in advance for a stay from 3 January 2021. Despite numerous communications with this Hotel they refuse to refund our pre-paid reservation even though we remain locked in our Country with closed borders in Australia as of mid November and expected to continue closed borders until early next year. I am a top tier Spire Elite Member and even having top tier IHG status neither this Hotel or IHG Head Office will help. Do not trust this Hotel with your reservation.

Family of 3, we really enjoyed this hotel. We'd a family room over looking the canal. Others have mentionned the lively area but its not as if they roll on until the wee hours, except the night before Bastille day where the fire brigade stations party until the morning near enough. We've been to Paris many times but must have missed this tradition.

Continental breakfast every morning, and as others have mentionned the hot breakfast wasn't always on, which must be down to local circumstances.

Clean, good sized, air conditioned room, something we were very glad of in 36º heat on some days.

Staff were always friendly and helped us with some queries.

Car parking at the hotel itself is expensive, try the Interparking at Rue Riquet and only 4 minutes walk away.

There are alot of restaurants in the local area for dinner, we ordered pizza one night and had sushi from the place directly across from the hotel, the Bento boxes were great. La Villette basin is part of the Quai de la Seine whereby those areas are turned into a 'beach' vibe, with boats, kida areas and large open air seating to eat and drink, in this case provided by two of the bistros across and just a 100 yards from the hotel.

Travel into Paris is fastest by Metro, Riquet station line 7, although Crimee´is an alternative. Allow 20-30 min goin in as after you are just inside the Peripherique in the 19th eme.

i would recommend the hotel and happily go back again.

We loved this hotel with a few minor issues. The location was great with a only a short walk from the Riquet metro station - a little off the beaten path but we likely the residential area that gave a more authentic look at Parisan life compared to the tourist areas. The views from the room of the canal were beautiful (especially with the lights for the holiday season). The area is a thriving residential area with a lot of cafes, restaurants, shops and parks nearby. There is a walking path along the canal and only a 10 min walk from a science and industry museum. Adjacent street Avenue de Flandre was HOPPING both afternoons and evenings and had some really great restaurant options. We really enjoyed Chef Sarin, a Turkish type of place with great shawarma and chicken options. The grocery store on that street is a good size one (you have to pay for the bags FYI). The hotel bar was small but had great drink options and the bartenders were very warm and friendly and gave us good advice about things to do. The towels were a bit scratchy and there were not dressers in the room. The breakfast was good but be sure to get there before 9:30am if you prefer to beat the crowd. If you like crepes, Orginals was a great stop and we went there a few times. It was right across the bridge next to a great bakery that had really good desserts and bread.

Its budget friendly and a decent location with easy public transport access to other locations. We stayed a few nights as a family with a 5yr old and 15yr old. There was a park just 50yards away which my 5yr old loved.

Our room was overlooking the canal, we took walks along the canal bank in the evenings and morning. Food was good but not a wide range of "healthy options" to choose.

The beds were very comfy, bathroom was spacious enough for me to help shower my lo without getting myself or the floor wet.

As english visitors, the staff were very polite and courteous which was probably the only people during our stay whom we found to be courteous, so thank you IHG.

Myself, wife and 14 year old daughter stayed at this hotel for 4 nights recently and found it to be really good value for money and the location was ideal and only a short walk to the nearest metro and a few decent restaurants.

Check-in was quick and our room was spotlessly clean with comfy beds, which provided a good nights sleep after longs days of sightseeing and walking. The pillows were very soft which I liked but my wife did ask for a more firmer pillow, but the hotel couldn’t provide this. A slight downside along with a lack of drawer space, but for the short time we stayed we coped and the walking did mean my wife soon forgot about having a firm pillow.

The staff were courteous and polite and spoke good English to compensate for our not so good French, which was most welcome.

Breakfast was typical continental and was tasty and plentiful.

Overall we had a really good visit to Paris and the hotel played a big part in this so we would definitely stay here again and happily recommend it to others.

For a cost save hotel it works but it is a cost save so no frills - arguably a Travellodge for UK comparison.

Situated in a suburb of Paris, arriving in the dark as we did due to flight delays with BA (another story) to be welcomed by security guard isn’t always the best welcome. However to be fair, once in daylight the environment changes significantly and you now have a accommodation with easy access to the Metro and the sights of Paris.

Rooms are clean but minimal - I have stayed in a lot worse so feel it scores well. Breakfast is a little on the poor side with a continental breakfast offered in a dingy room badly in need of some decoration and freshening up.

Staff are friendly and accomdating to your needs and overal would agree with most people’s positive feedback but would remind everyone you get what you paid for now in 2023 bargains are coming harder to find these days
