We had a very nice stay in the hotel and restaurant around New Year. The location is perfect in the city center on a side street without much hustle and bustle. The hotel is divided into 2 houses and we had a room with a terrace on the third floor. Very nice view & decoration in the room. I think you can see in the pictures that the double rooms are especially for couples. We also had the bathtub in the middle of the room.
The motto was like the room name and the best thing was the dinner in the restaurant. Very friendly reception staff.

This hotel is stunning. I arrived a little late and so the min reception was closed but within what seemed like seconds a member of staff arrived at the door to greet me and assist me with my bags to get booked in. They had upgraded my room at no additional cost and what a stunning room. The rooms are all different but my leopard print, jacuzzi suite could not have been more perfect. This hotel is a hidden treasure. I would encourage your sense of fun and professionalism to visit . I was so impressed that they knew my name and so the hotel felt like visiting an old friend despite this being my first visit. It won't be my last! Go! Go! Go! Have some some fun and be treated like a VIP guest.

I stayed here for a night in October and it was just fabulous - great, individually designed rooms with lots of character and really excellent food. My room, Titanic, had a roll-top bath in the room, CD player, giant bed with iron bedheads and a dinky balcony. Friendly staff - definitely worth it. Try the dessert platter with 12 different desserts to taste.

Stuttgart is great, and there are many worthy hotels there. That said, there is only one Zauberlehrling... It sets the barre for anyone claiming to be a "Boutique Hotel." Each room is COMPLETELY unique. The hosts are gracious and accomodating. And, probably most impresively, the restaurant is astonishing (and expensive). Though I have no actual reason to go to Stuttgart in the near future, I'm dreaming up excuses, just so I can stay in a new room at the Zauberlehrling. Really. It's one of those places that makes a lasting impression.

We stayed for two nights in November and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect. We had the Paddington Suite and it really is very special. Lots of space and tons of character, we didn't want to leave the room at all! But we did but everything we needed was very close by so we popped back regularly!!
I hadn't much hope for the breakfast for some reason, but boy was I surprised! It was fantastic. Beautifully presented and eggs cooked to what ever specification you wanted - yum!
The staff were helpful and friendly and when we needed to call a taxi for the airport when leaving, the lady was very thorough in making sure times were exact and that the car had actually turned up.
Our time in Stuttgart was brief but both the markets and the Zauberlehrling made those two days very memorable and special. A big thank you!

The zauberlehrling is located in one of the older parts of the city, but still very near to the heart. (5minutes walk).
The staff is welcoming and the rooms, i have seen 2 of them, vary from smaller "businessman" rooms to large suites. My room was very clean an comfortable with a large shower, coffeemachine, safe, minibar, telephon, musicplayer, hdtv and many small extras like a personal welcoming card or free water and pralines.
The breakfastbuffet give s you for extra money a large sortiment of fruits, juices, yoghurt, bread, cheese, cereals, fresh eggs, pancakes and hot beverages.

I travel a lot for business and there are some basics that are important: being able to get hold of reception, effective internet etc.

I stayed in the Titanic, and while the room was unique it seemed rather "80's" to me. There were a few frustrations, all small, but together they detracted from the quality of my experience. They included: no-one to help me with my luggage up the stairs; a light in my closet that wouldn't go off when I wanted to go to bed - it had a sensor, something that I only found out about when I finally managed to contact reception; a party on the second night of my stay that was rather loud; internet acces codes that one needed to go downstairs to collect - and that then didn't work; no-one at reception for one of the nights. Overall, the experience was just average.

We stayed in the Chalet Suite which is one of the most expensive rooms. It was very nice but didn't really get a good explanation on how everything worked.Asked to have our safe fixed as it was "battery low" but ended up checking out the next day without it ever being fixed.Lovely bed and bathroom and special detail in the furnishings. Would probably stay here again but at 350 euro a night I'm sure there are equal or better options.

We stayed in the Black Box room for 1 night last weekend. The room was large, the integrated bathroom design really good. Downsides - the bed wasn't ultra comfortable given the price of the room E270 and the TV was a bit small.

We ate in the restaurant, which had a vegetarian menu which was a lovely change for me. Some bits of the meal were suberb, the soups, the dessert was really interesting. Some bits were not - the main courses. Overall interesting food but quite expensive for what it was.

Spent about E500 for dinner, bed and breakfast which was a bit on the high side for what it was. However, if passing through Stuttgart again would stay again.
