The review for this hotel needed updating for 2022. The street and front of the hotel can be a little deceiving but do not judge a book by it’s cover. The welcome I received from the receptionist was extremely friendly and efficient. The receptionist guided me to the lift which is in the courtyard. My double room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. The kettle was definitely a plus. I did not have the breakfast so I cannot add comments. When I checked out I told the receptionist I would hopefully return and he replied “Awesome”! I would definitely recommend this hotel. Would recommend nearby: (1) The Muted Horn craft ale bar. (2) Chuckleheads Comedy Show (in English) on Thursday nights at Deriva Bar. Need to book free tickets on line.

This is a good location with excellent price/value, very clean and quiet room. The shower and bed is of good quality. Plenty of restaurants around, and a parking next to the hotel for 3 eur per day. It is highly recommended.

On street parking. Reception very helpful in advising legal places to park (not directly in front of hotel). Room clean kettle and drink making facilities in room, looking out on to inner courtyard, even with window open during the night, couldn't hear street noises. Could imagine might not be adequately warm in winter with laminate/tiled floors and entrance to rooms via lift that opens directly into courtyard. Area at night appeared sleazy but for those wishing to explore Tempelhof, perfectly located.

Very kind helpful reception staff -arrival, departure and for information on visiting the city. Room large and clean with kettle. Quirky internal courtyard to cross for lift to rooms with some seating available to relax outside. Did not have breakfast so can’t comment. U station and supermarket very close. Italian restaurant Monte Cristo on corner opposite hotel is excellent, friendly staff, good food, large portions and very, very reasonable. Parking is in large multi-storey car park next to the hotel part of a large shopping complex. Stayed 2 nights 4€!!!! . Note. Although car park is next door there are bollards across road by hotel. However, easy left, left, left will bring you to entrance after leaving luggage in hotel foyer.

I stayed here last week with two friends. Very helpful reception staff. Clean and quiet. Located near an underground station with a direct line to Schonfeld airport. There are supermarkets and a very good Italian restaurant (Monte Christo) nearby.

I wanted to buy a redbull from the bar and I wasn’t able to pay with credit card. The receptionist told me this is not a supermarket you can not pay with card under 10€. It was not written out and the staff is very unfriendly.

I've stayed at Erlanger Hof twice and had a good experience both times. The rooms are basic and simply furnished, but quiet, comfortable, and clean. Housekeeping does a good job daily, and I've left electronics and other valuables unsecured without any problems. The front desk staff are pleasant when any help is needed. I prefer to stay in this neighborhood for visiting friends nearby, and although it is not the most central part of Berlin, it's just a couple minutes to the U7, another few minutes to the U8, and convenient to Schoenefeld airport. There's also lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, and a medium-large shopping mall with a very large grocery store right next door. My only major suggestion for improvement would be to improve the wireless Internet -- my connection was generally stable but would occasionally slow down significantly during evenings and other times when perhaps many other guests were online.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights just before Easter with our 10 year old grandson. We've stayed there many times during the last ten years and always found the staff and service to be excellent, so I was surprised to read reviews which were negative about the staff. On the very few occasions when there have been problems (like the safe not working or needing a replacement shower head) the reception staff have been sympathetic and responded quickly, so I am surprised to read that other people feel they have not been treated well. We will continue to stay at the Erlanger Hof, as it is convenient for everything we need in Berlin and a good friendly hotel.

I do not recommend this hotel, be cautious. They have worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Booked this hotel for five days. With free cancellation with notification before 48 hours. Got sick two days before arriving. Kindly asked them to cancel my reservation because of my sickness before 1,5 days. Response - no exceptions, just charged 80% of full stay price.

I stayed here for one night in January 2019, encountered with three different gentlemen at the reception, all of them polite and nice, ready to help. Accommodation spacious, light, clean, heating worked perfectly even for the big room as I had. Breakfast in the morning for 8,50€ provides you with everything you need for a successful start of the day. One minus though. - it was not possible to pay by card the amount for breakfast and I had to find some cash. Which now in modern cashless era makes one star down. But I would be happy back and be sure that everything has been paid in advance as I have never cash with me.
