When we decided to go to see the Pompeii ruins we looked for a hotel that was nearby this happened to be hotel iside what a disappointment it was so dated the mattress on the beds were solid there was no shelving in the bathroom so had to put all toiletries on the sink the cover on the bed was filthy but i must say the sheets were clean . Before we booked this hotel we checked on TripAdvisor and booking.com and were really looking forward to sitting in the lemon and orange garden having a morning coffee as we'd seen people doing in the pictures , it doesn't exist it's now a carkpark and all the pictures of hotel iside are about 15 years old and the people in the pictures work in the hotel very misleading and disappointing. The Pompeii ruins were fantastic and something i will never forget well worth a visit . Pompeii town is awful people drive like maniacs they don't stop for no-one and the pavments are downright dangerous. There are plenty of restaurants around but all serve the same dishes and beaware when ordering food you have to pay a €7.50 service charge we did find one restaurant that didn't have a service charge and the food was lovely. We took the train to sorrento for the day the train cost €2 from Pompeii which i thought was good i was looking forward to looking out of the window of the train and seeing some of the sites what i saw was run down flats ( i couldn't believe people actually live in them ) and rubbish strewn everywhere. sorrento was okay again very pricey (€1.50) for one peach €10.0 for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich i won't be going back to italy again

We found this to be a good budget hotel.... The rooms were fairly basic with no fridge or kettle but were nice and clean. The staffs knowledge of English was Pretty limited to non existent but they were very friendly and for an extra 5 Euro you can have a continental breakfast in the morning. The hotel is perfectly positioned for all that a Pompeii has to offer including the ruins, town centre and the train station.

The location of the hotel was very quiet although only a short walk to the ruins, restaurants and grocery store. The staff was welcoming and helpful with recommendations. The bathroom was the largest of the 6 hotels we stayed at while in Italy.

We stayed one night here. The hotel was nice as well as the rooms. A big plus was parking in the back yard of the hotel. Especially since we had two bad experiences with parking at hotels prior to staying at Hotel Iside. At hotel Iside they even let us leave the car for 3 extra hours after the check out time so that was super nice!

We very wisely chose to spend 2 nights in Pompei, arriving direct from Napoli airport by taxi transfer (which was also superb) rather than spending double on a hotel in Napoli or Sorrento and travelling back and forth to the archaelogical sites and Mt. Vesuvius. Time and money saver. I booked on the basis of rather old reviews on TA which was worrying especially considering the very low price of the rooms albeit the hotel is 3 star (we paid double that in Sorrento, also 3 star) so I am writing to tell everyone what a good find this is, superb value for money. The reception was warm and friendly, the room was spick and span albeit no minfridge but we did not miss that, and the location superb. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. The bathroom was fab albeit the shower was very compact but it did not bother us. There was also a veranda but we did not have time to sit there as we were knocked out by Pompei and Herculaneum, and Mt. Vesuvius. Don't fail to take the bus up to Mt. Vesuvius from Pompei. Wonderful ride and what a fun loving driver! The young lady at reception is really sweet and helpful. Breakfast was really lovely. You are cordially greeted first thing, then huge, smashing croissants are brought to you, really delicious and fresh. That alone is a good breakfast but in addition there were a superb cheese and two cold meats, delicious cakes (on the first day there were two one of them particularly delicious, the next day one with the remnants of the previous day's which is perfectly all right, but who wants cake for breakfast). Coffee, tea provided as per your desire. We loved it. Much better than a wide variety where if a single item is as good as this you can count yourself lucky. Loved Pompei too!! So, if you are not looking for a plush hotel holiday to stay indoors all day but very good basic accommodation go for this hotel definitely. I'd call it quaint and cute and I can still taste those wonderful croissants...the best we had on our trip. Enjoy! we did.

Finding the most popular hotel in Pompeii was easy from all the signs. From the minute you see the gate open for the back yard parking under orange and lemon trees, you know this will be a fun place! the rooms are clean and small but you can sleep and be comfortable. The provided buffet breakfast and person service for tea, coffee etc. is very charming and satisfying. You are close to the ruins and can walk in 20 minutes or 9 euros or so can get you to the tourist entrance for a full day of walking the Pompeii ruins. The best part of my Italy vacation for sure!

Stayed at this hotel for one night, when visiting the ruins at Pompei. It is 5 min walk from the entrance of the excavations and lease than 10 to the city centre. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Everything was very clean. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. Free parking by the lemon trees was also very handy. We had a balcony with view to the Vesuvius, which was very neat!

This is a simple, family run hotel, within 5 mins walk of the amphitheatre entrance to the Pompeii ruins. Excellent location for us, with free car parking. Our room was a good size with a balcony overlooking the garden/car park at the rear. A good buffet breakfast - a nice touch was the inclusion of some fruit from the garden. We always got a warm welcome when we returned from an outing and there was a pleasant patio area at the front of the hotel to have a drink after a hard day’s tourism. I would be happy to stay at the Hotel Iside again and I’d definitely recommend it.

A nice small hotel very close to Pompei Ruins (4-5 min walk). The staff were very nice and helped us find a good pizza restaurant. There were quite a lot of noise from the traffic in our room, but besides that it's a perfect spot if you want to visit the old Pompei city. The Breakfast was ok.
