The hotel was really clean and the staff was very friendly :) Also I loved the breakfast buffet, only downside, was that it was missing vegetables, but other than that, I highly recommend the hotel!

We had a very delightful stay, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. Also the staff was friendly and kind, especially Yonis who helped us to plan our trip to the islands. It was a very nice experience and our family enjoyed it. Thanks

We ended up spending more time on the region than expected so booked last minute. Honestly, disappointed. Place is very tired. Our room had one odd piece of artwork. The wall paper was peeling and the paint was mikes by luggage/furniture moving. The shower was surprisingly large compared to other European hotels we’ve been in but it was shabby with missing grout, caulking. Bed was a large double and very comfy but the linen is old as Well as the window treatments which were falling down. A mini-fried with water for purchase was great especially because we couldn’t get the A/C to work correctly and tossed me turned all night. The main thing that saved this review from Being a 1 or 2 stars was the hostess in the hostess in the breakfast room. Incredibly sweet, charming, and helpful. Pleasant and engaging with all the guests. Made us all Cappucinos and chatted about the ships. Multi-lingual we heard at least Italian, English, and French. A few maintenance touches and inexpensive decorations would really make this a treasure. With convenient location, free parking, and awesome staff.

This hotel, which was before it's transformation a carehouse for elderly people, is a very good location, near the harbour, quiet, with a free car park, with rooms with balcony and all the amenities you need. Even if it looks a bit old fashioned in term of furnitures, you have a very good WiFi, flat screen, hairdryer, fridge, smooth and silent A/C, Clean and comfy room. Breakfast is scrumptious, plenty of choices.....The best part is the staff, friendly, smily, helpful, polite, efficient and full of energy....It's not frequent to have the whole combination for a very affordable price...Thanks again and congrats!!!

I spent a night here and that was long enough, the hotel seems to be a bit tired now but it is like many “cheaper” Italian hotels, although this stay wasn’t cheap! The restaurant is closed because of Covid but they still do a breakfast, you just pick what you want and they bring it to your table. The place is certainly popular with Italian workers who made up most of the guests when I was there, the other downside of this is a full carpark, lots of vans etc.

Hotel Ghironi is very easy to find, located in a quiet neighborhood. Offers free private parking. For the center of La Spezia you will need a car, or to be fit for a walk. Our double room was decent size with toiletries included and terrace with chairs for outdoor sitting. Hotel and rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is very good, as you can see. Staff is polite, ready to help, and knows English, Italian and French. Hotel also have tickets for Cinque Terre and offers shuttle for a fee. We had a great time!

The Hotel Ghironi is in between the way to the city center and the commercial harbour. A quick easy access for those coming from the highway. Ideally, it is a one-night stay hotel. The positive element is the kindness of the staff, always available to accommodate the guest's request. On the structural side, the cosmetic look is definitely outdated, facilities are poor, the hotel rooms are poorly decorated with a late 60s touch, which is regrettably showing that no substantial upgrades have been done. Rooms are clean but lack of comfort. The breakfast is correct. A free parking is available, which is a very good point in small towns like Spezia.

This hotel is very much outdated. I wouldn't recommend it for anything else but for a place to sleep. I also have doubts about its cleanliness. And although there did not seem to be many guests, it was very difficult to find a parking spot. The staff was very friendly though.

Comfortable hotel, good sized rooms, nice breakfast, large parking. Some rooms have a balcony and the breakfast is good. Furniture needs an upgrade but everything is clean a it is good value for the money spent. A little bit far from the center of the city if you plan on walking there.

Hotel has a parking in the back on the Sun, and it is not guarded. Location is about 2.5 km from the city center by foot, but you are outside ZTL and you have a couple of big supermarkets just across. About 4 km from the train station. Staff is polite and ready to help. The also provide shuttle bus for a fee of 4 EUR. Rooms are reasonable big, but the furniture is old. Walls are not clean either. AC is very old also, and the is a very small minibar in the room. Bathroom is average, but they don't put new toiletries every day (in our case every 2-3 days). Breakfast is the same every day, and they have only 2 types of cheese, they need to have at least 99 types of cheese, because this is Italy. Wi-Fi is sometimes good and sometimes very bad. And be aware, every 2-3 days, there is a big bus coming with a lot and lot of asian people who are very demanding and non polite and who think they are in their country and they push everyone around, even on breakfast. They are purposely bumping on everyone, and it is very disturbing. They don't know the order and queue. If you don;t mind that, hotel is good, not for a 4 star Italian hotel, but maybe for 2.5-3 star.
