This was by far the worst experience I've had with a Hotel. The customer service was atrocious and the booking system incoherent. I booked the hotel in December on a non-refundable type booking, added my payment card and then received confirmation. I then check my emails this morning to find BOOKING CANCELLED in my inbox. They sent me an email on Sunday at 3am with a payment link that expired 24 hours later. This then triggered an automatic cancellation. There was no mention of pre-payment on the booking confirmation and it said the hotel had the right to charge the card for any pre-payments which would have been fine. I reached out to them on the Monday roughly 30 hours after the payment link was sent. Who checks their emails on Sudnay after all! They said they couldn't do anything to help other than quoting me new MUCH HIGHER PRICES given I am due to be there next week. I quoted their own booking confirmation and T&Cs and they refused to honour the original price. The whole thing seems like a scam to catch you off guard and then charge you more based on hotel demand. I'll never be looking to stay there again after leaving me with nowhere to stay just 10 days before I am supposed to be there. Not worth the hassle if they can't even stick to their own booking process and terms. Big Avoid!

A really good stay. I was in a superior room, and it was really big. The rooms seem to be renovated recently and are in a good condition. The breakfast was a buffet, good selection of food items. Good service in general. Very short walking distance to subway station, lots of restaurants in the area.

This isn't a 4 star hotel by any measure. 2 Stars at best. Rooms are all off a main road and are so noisy that you might as well be sleeping on the road. 20 euro per person to access the poor standard pool is theft. Avoid!!

My stay was not to a four star standard. Spent over 800 euro for 3 nights, toilet was dirty on arrival, 2nd day maintenance work again left room dirty. Room on main road with traffic noise. Would not stay there again, spoke to a manager and the only thing he could say " I m sorry " still had to pay for it. Please be aware

Can be a lottery staying in a hotel outside of the big chains but the Grand Visconti Palace is a decent shout. Travelling on business, the hotel is located very close to a couple of metro stops and 20 odd minutes away from the Duomo. The rooms are pretty decent - nicely decorated, big rooms and big beds but the wifi is utterly rubbish and the rooms hot. Breakfast is a pretty disappointing affair but not offensive. Water in the room is a bit stingy but all in all a decent shout for a central Milan hotel.

A charming place for family trip. Professional staff, delicious breakfast. You get Lidl a few meteres away as well as underground station opposite the supermarket. Lots of Cafes, bars with local and non local foods. There is a pub opposite hotel serving a craft beer.

My hotel room 412 has bed bugs that I discovered the day before I was supposed to leave. When I was out and about in Milan, I saw one crawling on my purse and then upon inspection of the room when we got back from being out all day, there was one on the ceiling close to the closet and another one near the bedside table. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, I notified the front desk and they immediately moved me to a different too, however, I feel the damage was already done, since I had already slept in the room for 6 nights already. I had checked the bed when I first got into the room, but there was no evidence of bed bugs in the bed. I think they are living in the carpet, baseboards, desk area and closet area. I've had to leave behind/throw out a lot of my belonging for fear of bringing them home or items that cannot be steamed/heat treated. I will likely have to buy another suitcase as well. Lastly, the house keeping staff had entered my room when I had the do not disturb sign on. Not once, but twice. There is no excuse for someone to enter a room when the “do not disturb” sign is on the door. They attempted a third time to enter when I had the do not disturb sign was on the door, they kept knocking, but I was in the room at the time. This is very unprofessional. Still waiting for the hotel to respond to my experience, but I hope they take action. It's been 3 days since I've emailed them about my experience, and still no response. Very disappointing stay overall, considering this is a luxury hotel

3.5 due to the actual room. I'd request a higher floor and aim for an upgrade. Initial impressions - grand lobby, felt very high end. Very attentive staff on arrival. Lovely grounds. Location - very convenient, metro very close and supermarket a few minutes walk. Service was excellent - staff very welcoming and helpful, willing to go above and beyond. Breakfast for €15 - wide selection of good quality food, sweet and savoury, continental. Staff came around to take coffee orders. Now the room. Pros - excellent air conditioning and plenty of space. Linens (sheets & towels) were good quality. Old-style luxury had a certain charm. Cons - It felt like a room that isnt really used or maintained. It had a stale smoke smell that leeched into my clothes. The minibar was half-empty when I arrived which is fine but they tried to charge me for it on checkout. Several of the powerpoints didn't work. Even their own hairdryer didn't plug into the socket in the bathroom and needed an adaptor which then didn't work in the socket near the bed. Minor issues but inconvenient. It was a 'deluxe' upgrade on the 1st floor. My travel companion also had a deluxe but on a higher floor. We were told they were exactly the same, but the 4th floor room was definitely nicer. It had a coffee pod machine, higher ceilings, nicer decor and didn't smell. There were also mosquitos in the room but I used my own repellent to keep them away from me while I slept. I was also near the lift so it was noisy. Overall it's a lovely hotel but I put a high value on the room and for me unfortunately it was average.

I stayed here for business. Rooms - very dated and definitely needs renovation. However the size was OK and everything was functioning. Service - The best concierge in town, Bernie!! He was amazing and super efficient, friendly and welcoming!! Couldn't ask for more. Breakfast - a large spread but standard quality. Location - was a little out of town center so have to take taxis or there is also metro close by Value - it was an expensive period and everywhere was expensive, so compared to other hotels at the time, it was more reasonable (but still expensive)
