The place is old and tired, very scruffy outside. The bed was large but not comfortable and you only had one lumpy pillow each. You could hear people walking around above and beside the room. STAFF EXCELLENT

It's a Travelodge (does what it says on the tin). It's nice enough, it has parking, and a fuel station next door, plenty of takeaway's nearby (if that suits). Easy access to the roads in each direction. For a quick stopover for work it was ideal.

I only really needed a room for a couple of nights due to travelling for a family funeral. The hotel itself was good although no restaurant for a cooked breakfast (breakfast to go box offered for an extra cost) but at the time of my stay there was construction work being done nearby. I would recommend anyone staying there to check before booking.

friendly staff but I incurred issues with my stay no hot water, dirty remote, tvs are not compatible with game consoles, bed edges where like metal wire. spider webs everywhere I do understand the boiler was broken and it is not the hotels fault but was extremely frustrating as u had to go work dirty.

We made a last minute reservation at this Travelodge location and did not arrive until 9pm. The staff are wonderful, Scott was managing the reception when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful. We were lucky to get the last available room which was quiet, clean, & comfortable, and the bathroom stocked with everything we needed for a one-night stay. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place to stay in teh Barnstaple area.

Being a Travelodge you know what to expect and that it will be on the more basic end however, as far as Travelodge's go this one was exceptional. The staff were so incredibly friendly and really went the extra mile, ensured if anything wasn't quite right that we felt most comfortable raising it with the team (not that we had to, everything was great). The rooms whilst typical Travelodge in style but clean, fresh and ready for our check-in. Couldn't ask for more, would only be nice to see it given the facelift that some others have received. Thank you to the team and recommend.
