This hotel comes it the does exactly what it does on the tin! Right on the slopes with basic family accomodation - a wee bit spartan but well laid out and with nearly everything you need. A few essential items were mising when we arrived pilow cases, covers etc for the pull out bed but were found for us. Pull out bed not very comfy for our 12 year old. No kettle in the room, no licthen cloths or dishcloths which was a pain and obvioulsy no wifi in any of the rooms. Room could have been cleaner ( behind pull out bed had been ignored for a while) so loads of dust. The location could not be better and the ski lock area is well thought through. The cafe is excelelnt and well priced the restuarant we never used as it seemed over priced for what it offered. We were there just before Easter and it was very busy with school kids running about the hotel after a busy day skiing so be aware it is not a place to chill. Anyway for a family for 4 ( 13 and 12 year old) on our fist ever ski trip is was on the money!

It's taken a while to write this review, we stayed in January 2019. I stayed at the hotel with 4 others. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The staff are really friendly and they make this hotel such an enjoyable stay. They always have time to have a chat and ensure everyone is happy. Breakfast - very good choice. No hot food but there is enough choice from pastries, to fruit to cheese and ham. There are two coffee machines so no queuing. Dinner - all my meals were excellent. You choose your 3 course meal the night before and there is a antipasti buffet. I rarely had room for dessert as the starters and mains were so tasty and filling. Cost of wine is also reasonable. Rooms - comfortable bed, plenty of hot water. I asked for an extra pillow and it was immediately provided.

The hotel is located in central Sestriere a short walk from the slopes. It is a three star rated hotel and has mostly plusses with one minus. One of the plusses is the food. For the price we found the food in the evening to be of a very high standard. Second plus were the staff, all of whom are very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms are clean and acceptable for this class of hotel. The décor is a little dated. The only negative I think worth mentioning were the beds, these are unforgiving, unless you prefer a hard mattress. Hotel is overall good value for money.

We were staying here for our skiing trip. The hotel is in very good location. Everything was super nice. The rooms is very clean and really comfortable. The food was more delicious than we could expect. Dinners and service were absolutely amazing. But the most important thing that made us feel so welcome here, is the people that work here. These are the people that love their job. We want to thank everybody and especially Simon and Daniella for such kindness. We will really recommend this place for others that go to Sestriere. Thank You guys for making our vacation so special !

We had an absolutely brilliant time staying at Olimpic hotel for our weeks skiing in Sestriere. Simon (Templar) and Daniella were such fantastic hosts. Simon provided many laughs and good humour over dinner and they were both always around to help out and did a fanstastic job serving us at the restaurant each morning and night. Daniella made good strong cocktails. The dinners were fantastic, we were expecting a buffet and turns out there is not only a salad/vege buffet but also a three course meal each night, rediculous amount of delicious food, the chef did a great job. The rooms were comfortable and perfectly adequate for the week, they did tend to get a bit hot at night but nothing an open window can't fix. Only gripe perhaps would be that you need to buy water of an evening, perhaps this is the norm in Italy. But cannot fault anything else, pics do the place justice and also being able to leave your skis at a rental shop near the mountain is perfect. Great hotel, fantastic food, lovely staff. Thanks so much for a great week!!!

We stayed for a week ski holiday. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a standard Italian buffet, now including yoghurt (a prior year comment said this would be a good addition, now it is there). There’s a great fruit bowl and good coffee machines with a wide variety of tasty hot drinks. Dinner is amazing. I would come to this hotel just for the dinner. An extensive salad buffet first and then a choice of three pasta dishes, followed by a choice of three mains and then dessert. It’s so much better than you would expect from a three star hotel. 5 star food! A ski holiday usually leaves you a couple of kilos lighter, after dinner at The Olimpic there is no risk of this! The rooms have been updated recently so older reviews aren’t relevant any more. They are very clean, comfortable and warm. No complaints at all. The communal space downstairs is bigger than it looks from management photos. We would definitely return. Great value for money.

A group of us stayed here during February. The rooms were bright and airy, and the hotel is in a pretty good location, a short walk from the ski slopes, and close to the pedestrianised area where the shops and bars are. Down stairs is a nice bar and communal area which was great for relaxing in during the evening, and they also put the rugby on the TV so we didn't miss the six nations games! The staff here were superb. So friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy and comfortable. Every time our glass was nearly empty the bar man was over again taking our order! The food was brilliant. Admittedly, breakfast was a little basic, and expanding on the options here would be an improvement. They could do with some yogurt, a better selection of meats and bread etc. The dinner though is superb. Great food, some of the best hotel food I have had in years of going to different hotels, this is the first time I am returning to the same one the following year!

I was in this hotel in March and I have to say, that this hotel is quite ok. Maybe rooms are not very new, but definitely they are clean. Staff in hotel was very nice and helpfull, and they tried their best to make people satisfied. Food in hotel was really delisious.Especially dinners, you could choose from menu which kind of food you want (meet, vegetables) and they prepared it for you. Hotel is situated around 300m from the ski lifts, and you could leave your ski equipment in the store situated next to ski lifts to avoid carry it every day. I do really reccomend this hotel for winter holiday.

I spent two nights/three days at this hotel during a short skiing break in Sestriere. My room was just enough for one person (double bed, no more space for anything else in the room), so if you travel as a couple be sure to ask for some superior room. It had a small window, a normal size double bed and no place for the suitcase :). There was a small closet with the safety-box, a desk and a TV, but everything quite squeezed in. The bathroom was rather spacious or at least of a good size (shower with the glass cabin, functioning hairdryer, a window). The decoration was not breath-taking, but everything was very clean. I was surprised by the quality of food at dinner (really worth to have a half-board), both dinners were excellent, with good menu choice, quality and well cooked dishes. Breakfasts, on the contrary, were poor. The choice was big, but the products - for my taste - were too industrial, no fresh natural yoghurt, poor choice of bread and healthy foods (lots of croissants, cakes, jams...). I still have to solve a mystery why people believe that if you want a no-flavour yoghurt, it should also be a no fat :)? Coffee was decent. Staff was also nice, I specially appreciate that my room was ready at 8 a.m., everyone was attentive and welcoming.
