The Metropolitan Hotel & Spa has garnered accolades for its exemplary staff, whose professionalism and attentiveness are often recognized by guests, sometimes even by name. While the atmosphere is a blend of the outdated and the welcoming, the hotel maintains high marks for cleanliness, with the housekeeping team earning particular praise. Amenities like the pool and spa are generally well-received, despite some grumbles about wifi and upkeep. Room experiences vary, with most guests enjoying the cleanliness and features, but noise and outdated decor are occasionally noted. The hotel's value is a point of contention, with opinions split between affordable rates and pricey services. Its central location, however, is a standout feature, offering convenient access to city attractions such as Connaught Place.

I've been staying at this Hotel in Delhi for about 10 years now and it's the homeliest place I know - and I'm on the road about 39 days a month so I should know!Sanzeev Bhatia is Gen Mgr is most approachable and friendly and Anshul at the Front Office is flexible/ understanding.

My wife and I stayed here for a week in early Feb and walking in was like slipping into a comfortable bed. I've got Gold status in most major hotel chains but what I like most here is it's location and th fact.that you can walk around locally for restaurants, shopping or busines. Friendly staff and a great breakfast top it all.

Stayed here for three days. PRAVEEN (Senior Room Attendant) helped in all the way possible, he was courteous, smiling and cleaned the room meticulously. His work was excellent and at par. The hotel breakfast was quite good and they gave South Indian, North Indian, Salads and Continental choices in the buffet with fresh juices/coffee. Room service was at par and they immediately respond to the calls from the room. Best hotel for any visa related work, as the VFS location is walkable (5 min) from the hotel.

The Met Hotel is in a great location, central to both business and tourist activities. I chose the Met for this visit to New Delhi because of the attractive room price. However, now that I have stayed here for three days, I don't think I will be staying here again. The competitive room price and modern rooms are where the positive aspects of the property end. The welcome is rather indifferent, and the front desk staff are not overly helpful. This is in stark contrast with other similarly priced hotels in the area. I did not feel like a valued guest at the Met. Moreover, the internet connection in the room is only 1mbps, and anything above that you must pay for. This is below standard compared with other hotels in the area. If you plan on working in your room, you can forget about it, as 1mbps is pretty useless. And to make matters worse, once I checked out and wanted to sit in the restaurant and have a coffee and work, I was only given 20 minutes worth of internet connection--nothing like booting a guest to the road once he's paid his bill and checked out!

Further, the cost of additional services, such as laundry, spa, and dining are about 30% higher than the surrounding hotels, which discouraged me from using them.

Overall I am disappointed in my stay here and will need a compelling reason to return during my next business trip to New Delhi.

Great central location. Felt very safe and secure. Hotel was well appointed. It was very easy for our drivers to locate us and the front door staff were always very pleasant. It was great to be in a central location for our tours so that we didn't have to travel great distances from outside the city centre.

Located close to Bangle Sahib Gurdwara and Connaught Place.
Excellent value Hotel rooms a little tired in places however good value for money.

Buffet breakfast is excellent, good choices of Indian options and International menu options. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. We stayed for 5 nights enjoyed a comfortable safe stay . Security is good everyone goes thru an Airport type scanner . These days this is important so the little inconveniences are worth the peace of mind.

Thank you Met Spa and Hotel .

Had a fantastic stay at the Metropolitan Hotel in Delhi. Breakfast was great - lots of options to suit all my families different requests and requirements. We always had great service with a smile - especially at the omelette station. They also made us fresh puris, dosa and masala chai on request. The room service was awesome, with towel-art on the bed, complimentary biscuits and cakes in the room every day. A special thank you to Manoj Badola who looked after us and made sure we had everything we needed in our rooms. Great service from all staff. Thank you.

Great place to stay - near to a Metro Station and Gole Market. Housekeeping was really great, especially Manjeet who cleaned my room as well as helped me with adaptor issues for my laptop. WiFi has an okayish speed - not very fast. I had free breakfast with my booking and the food was pretty good and had variety, however, the prices of the items on the menu are quite expensive, but being near to CP allows for options to eat out. All in all great place to stay.

Beautiful pool and garden
Tasty and filling breakfast buffet in an impressive formal dining space
I never get tired of looking out at the foggy and impressionist views of Delhi from our hotel room
Our housekeepers, Shiv and Ashok, have been so considerate to our needs. They brought us a vase for our flowers, plates and spoons for a cake we received as a gift, extra water bottles, and towels, and throughly vaccumed our floors. They really went above and beyond, and just have such kind dispositions. I'm looking forward to the rest of out stay!

We stayed longterm at the Metropolitan after trying numerous other hotels in Delhi. The hotel has a perfect location on Bangla Sahib Road, in easy walking distance of Bangla Sweets and Bangla Foods, and a short ride from Connaught Place.

The rooms are always super clean, and the housekeepers, Avinash and Manvinder, took amazing care of us. Both are friendly and speak English very well. They made sure we had everything we need at all times. Once, when we were checking out for a couple of days, we left a bag in the room by mistake and they made sure it was saved for us.

Since I was working from the room most days, while my wife was out, they made sure I was always stocked on complimentary water and coffee.

Also, the shower pressure here is good, which is not always the case when travelling. Having a nice, clean room to come back to really meant a lot for us.
