We were very happy with this affordable waterfront apartment, located conveniently close to town and all services. It was a 10 min walk or 3 min bike ride to the supermarket, restaurants, etc. There is no beach, but you can jump in right off the dock out front. We had an upstairs unit with a large deck overlooking the bay – really magical, especially at night. The apartment was spacious, bright, and airy, with the large living area opening up to the waterfront deck. The kitchen was basic but usable and the bedroom was comfortable with AC. The Wifi internet worked great. The interior ocean themed colors and décor were pleasant. There was a bike rental place just a couple 100m away so we rented bikes there for the duration of our stay – very useful for getting all around the island, and especially just down the road to the markets and restos. No, it’s not your traditional Bora Bora beach bungalow, but very nice, comfortable and economically priced, especially as the price of most accommodation in Bora Bora was out of our reach. Our hostess, Hinano, was very friendly and helpful, providing a free pick-up and drop-off from the ferry terminal. Overall we had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this place to other travelers. Loved it!

Quiet property with a series of lodges with a great common garden entry. Very creative space with full kitchen area. About a 15 minute walk from the ferry to the airport and town of Vaitape. xxxxxxxxx

We stay 5 days, the flat was very nice, Moea and Gérard are very kind, teey take care of everything. Close to the house, a local super market opening very early in the morning with warm bread, and local marmelade for the breadfast. The flats are very nice and clean, and possibility to park a car. We leave very sad, Bora is a very beautifull Island, and a can say to have the pleasure to meet people as Moea and Gérard is even better. Sure next time we will travel in Franch Polynésia, we come again at this place. Gérard and Chantal, from Paris.

Perfect hospitality. I was in a cabin with a first line to the water. Large room with a pleasant balcony. The landlady helped me a lot and took me to the beach, and even to do my first tattoo. All with a big smile and a very nice atmosphere. highly recommend!

This place is really a bargain! There are units that are by the lagoon are so beautiful and spacious! We felt the staff was super accommodating and not money oriented, unlike some other places in Bora. We saw our most beautiful sunset from the terrace there! Loved it!

We sent a deposit to hold a room in April -- knowing that Sunset would hold our deposit in escrow. Well they didn't and say they have spent it and can no longer issue a refund. I don't think anyone should do business with a hotel that spends someone else's escrow deposit.

It's cheap and it worked. There are 2 of them, beach side and on the hill. We were on the hill, it is not walking distance to anywhere, we had a car. A mile down a 2 lane no side walk, curvy road, no lights is not walking distance to me. Had a nice patio, which I ended up sleeping on most of the night because it was so hot inside, had an ac that did nothing. If you have a car and have to stop over Bora Bora, which I would suggest you try not to, this place will work. We rented a car drove around island in a couple hours, ate at the most expensive restaurant you can eat at without staying in a their hotel, and it was the first meal I sent back in 15 years. So this hotel was perfect for Bora Bora and the price.

What an amazing place to stay! Gerard was very friendly and welcoming. The apartament is large, very spacious and fully equipped. Its very private and quiet. The apartment was cool at night so we could sleep perfectly fine. It also has an AC which we didnt need to use. The shower was great. Hot water came out right away and with very good pressure. The whole place is super clean. I wish we had stayed longer here. A supermarket online 100 meters away. Gerard also provided free transfer to Matira beach and the AirPort. Great place to stay!.

We stayed 7 nights and were sad to leave. We loved everything about this place. BIG place with separate bedroom, bathroom and kitchen and great wifi. I really loved the outdoor shower for after swimming in the ocean or just to cool off in. We were steps from their dock and the ocean. Moea took great care of us by allowing us to borrow snorkeling masks for free and even did a load of laundry for us free. She drove us to and picked us up from a free hike to the top of a mountain that had 360 degree views of BB. We got to know Gerard as he goes for his daily ocean swim and he was very friendly and fun to talk to. The gas station is right next door (but screened off with concrete wall) for any supplies we might need. They both go out of their way to take great care of you. Highly recommend!!! 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were on our honeymoon and we spent 7 nights in Sunset Hill Lodge. Ari was our host and he was very kind and helpful from the beginning. He helped to organize everything, take us to the public beach and gave us good recommandations. The apartment is very close to the city center. If you want to spend some time with local people (not only spending days in a 5 starts hotel in a separate area) this apartment is a perfect choice.
