Good garden and view but the food isn't good and they don't worthy the money they ask for ,saving dinner on salad plates is annoying,Wi-Fi is very slow, salad is full of vinegar, just don't eat there ,time you wait is so long because if you are hungry you can't wait them you get sad and if manage to wait and food come look dry the workers are not professional how they handle the clients ,trust me go there if you want enough money to pay for nothing really but if you want to be happy in the moment your journey go some where else

I stayed in the superior bungalow and it was really lovely after spending time in the busy cities. Staff were attentive. There was an issue with their internet which made it difficult to pay and they asked for cash. I did have to say if they wanted to pay for a taxi to and from town I could arrange, but eventually it worked out and then it was all smiles. The frame on the master bed was really uncomfortable and I moved to the single bed during the night. Fried fish was lovely for food. Quite a relaxing and beautiful spot.

Only stayed here one night after a gorilla trek the day before . Chalets are a nice touch as opposed to regular generic hotels along the lake . In saying that , they are pretty basic and our shower had low power and you had to kneel in the bath to use it . But beds were comfy and service was excellent if a little slow during rush periods . View of the lake was stunning though and as you are right on the lake it an ideal spot .

Truly gorgeous! We travel the world and the value was VERY good for what you get. Food was very good but took forever for dinner. Breakfast was amazing. We had a self contained lovely room that faved the lake. We could hear the waves at night. The outdoor shower was lovely with hot water and good pressure but the the toilet being outside was odd. The toilet itself is good but locations weird. I was thinking if it rained I would’ve been sorry going potty in the middle of the night. The small private beach is wonderful and the grounds are amazing!! Highly recommend. I’m going back in July and taking a team with me. Best hotel I’ve seen yet in this area. I have stayed in four now.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Firstly I paid a deposit for two rooms and received confirmation. Later only receive the money back one day before arrival without being notified the reason as to why our booking got cancelled. Secondly we went there for dinner at 20h00 only to receive our meal at 22:30pm with no explanation or apology. Rather look else and keep your money.

The 3-star hotel deserves the three (european) stars and an excellent rating. Sweet round bungalows with all natural material. Moskito nets provided. Very clean. The grounds are stunning. Just like in the pictures and better. The lounge chairs on the lake shores are very comfortable. I had breakfast and dinner there. The swim in the lake was totally refreshing. The service is good, they try to accommodate your wishes as good as possible. Here and there something might not work (night lamp, a loose basin, electricity once went out for 10 minutes). This is still remote Africa. Wifi is excellent. There is a wonderful peace about this place - worth equal one week Ayurveda in Sri Lanka with the treatments:-). Honeymooners and Lovebirds will especially enjoy.

I am not sure if we were just really unlucky and ended up in the worse chalet they have... Ours however made us feel really uncomfortable. Overall it was dirty (especially the bathroom), the tap was broken, a part of the window glass missing and the room was totally worn-out. We were suppose to have two twin beds and ended up with a queen-size bed and a child bed. On top of that, the mattress of the child bed was so used up that you completely sank in onto the slatted frame. On a good note, the service is good and the staff very friendly. The food was ok. What is definitely the "wow" of the property is its location right at the lake with beautiful views.

What a find, and what great value. Lovely, comfortable old-school 'lodge' style chalets; immaculately landscaped grounds; friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. Can't recommend enough -- Rwanda is likely to focus on super high end tourism in future, and Lake Kivu is a natural place for that, so enjoy wonderful family-run establishments like this while you can, before the impersonal, boring and expensive international chains take over

This hotel is really nice the setting, cleanliness and the staff is all very good. We didn't recognize any of the negative reviews and had a super time. The only little thing was that the shower only had power and hot water in the morning and not during the (late) evening. Really beautiful, we will come back. Little note for improvement: we would like to have a few clothes hangers in the bathroom for your towels and clothes, bedside tables would be nice, but really all is very nice already!
