The menu offers a large choice of Mexican-themed dishes. Those I tried are large and very tasty. On weekends they offer a buffet, again offering a large choice of nice dishes, and still delicious even late in the service. They also have a large choice...of drinks, including original cocktails, Mexican beer and a range of tequilas. The staff is extremely friendly and visibly cares about you having a good experience.More

Dear Guest, thank you very much for your opinion. We will see that you get a completely hot meal on the next visit, because that is our ambition. Our nachos are freshly prepared every day. But we also have other great little dishes like our...More

Had a great dinner here. Ribs were good and a big portion! Mexican food also fine. Prices are ok. Service was slow. Had to wait a long time for our mains. As for desserts the brownie is huge and tasty, the churros were a very...small portion so do not recommend that. For soft drinks they only have Mexican versions. No Fanta or normal Coke and no light versions. We did have a great dinner.More

I have had enough Mexican food to know this restaurant was disappointment in a dish/glass. We ordered something simple, Quesadillas, they were okish, but quiet small for the price. We ordered potato wedges (2 portions) we only got one, so we had to call the...waiter to ask what was wrong with the other, and the dips we requested for the potatoes (which are not free) were not what we asked for. We ordered Margaritas, and to be honest the only tequila I tasted was the one on the name written on the glass. It was too watery. We wrote a review about it in another website, and the person answering (from the restaurant) told us they have many other drinks we can chose from the liquor menu... but... with all due respect sir we wanted Margaritas.More

Mexican is pretty low down in my list of preferred cuisines but we decided to try something different and I'm glad we did. The portions were huge, the food tasty, the cocktails excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Ordered a glass of Chilean Wine, and was served a glass which obviously had come from a bottle which had been opened some time before and had gone off. I asked for it to be changed and what came back was equally bad and surely...came from the same opened bottle. It may be that the girl behind the bar does not understand wine, and does not know that it goes off after being opened (unlike Tequila). Recommend you stick with beer or mixed drinks. Wine appears to be a skill too far for the staff. Food was average for a European Tex-Mex. not the same as Texas standardsMore

The staff is super nice and feels like friends. The food, atmosphere and drinks give you the feeling that you are somewhere far away but not in Dresden. They're margaritas are Yummi and come in a shaker which makes it a special experience. They have...a great mix of everything and they're ribs are the best. Drink a pitcher of something Yummi or enjoy their deserts!!!!More

I loved this place! Good atmosphere and good food. Also the pitchers of cocktails are good value if you just want a drink. If you're just hanging around in the Altstadt then it is a bit of a trek up into the Neustadt but worth...it if you fancy a Mexican!More

Out and about in Dresden Neustadt, lunch time , 5 visitors from Frankfurt am Main looking for a place to brunch, found the Mexican restuarant " Espitas " to be open. Up the steps to the 1st floor, warm friendly welcome by the staff. "...An all you can eat menu " was on the menu - a wide variety of cold & warm buffet was available, nicely laid out in a separate room. A chef was on hand to freshly cook omelets to one's choice as was freshly squeezed orange juice available and freshly ground coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our stress free brunch , were well looked after by the friendly staff and would certainly brunch there again next time as we do plan to revisit in 2014.More

I wish I had read these reviews before we ventured to this restaurant this evening. We had just arrived in Dresden, this restaurant was just on the corner and we thought, as people who had lived in New Mexico and love Mexican food, to try...it out. What a mistake! The food bears almost no resemblance to Mexican. Flour tortillas, really tough ones, are used in all the dishes. We had enchiladas but would not have recognised them as such. They were AWFUL - this was the worst meal we have had in a long, long time. I advise people to NEVER eat here!More

I'm Mexican so everytime we find a mexican restaurant on the way my bf wants to go in, so this one looked so big and nice on the outside and nice on the inside. but first of all, no music at all, the ambiance wasn...kinda boring for a mexican restaurant. Then they took so much time to take our order and then bring the plates which is not good at all when you're starving. We all know mexican food in another countries is their own adaptation but this really wasn't good at all, the prices were so high for the portions, like I was so upset to pay 10 euros for my "enchiladas" plate which was two (half full of chicken) tortillas.. medium... that's it. and my bf's chili con carne... more potatoes and a really small plate. cocktails are also expensive and not impressive. please don't go to this restaurant unless you want to be upset at the end. they gave us 2 postcards that they were going to send to our relatives and my boyfriends parents live like 1 hour away and the postcard is still not here...More

If you’re looking for good Mexican food, don’t go here! The service was appalling; we were left waiting for about ten minutes even though there were dozens of empty tables. When finally being shown to a table nobody came over to bring us the menus....The waitress we had serving us was really rude and abrupt and kept sighing impatiently when taking our orders.( I won’t even mention the hostile reaction as we ordered some water alongside our other drinks...) I ordered fajitas and got about 5 small palm-sized duck-pancake-like things which barely resembled Mexican fajitas. My recommendation: go somewhere else!More

Today I went to Espitas to get Mexican food on my way back from Poland. When we got there the atmosphere was very nice and it looked promising. We ordered a beer and a strawberry margarita. My beer came quick. Very nice. We then looked...at the food menu, which we had to get ourselves because the waitress did not care about us. 10 minutes later, still no margarita. Looking through the menu I noticed that this was not Mexican food. Chimichanga with ham? Breakfast buffet with pasta? I ordered PorkBeef tacos. They came out and there was an overwhelming honey mustard smell. I never knew that Mexican food was supposed to smell and taste like honey mustard. After eating our meals we were ready to go. Guess what? Still no margarita! As we were about to leave we got the margarita. I asked if I could get it to go and they said they did not have cups. DO NOT GO HERE EVER!More
