Eat here on the advice of the hotel we stayed at but not a great meal and even less impressed by the attitude of the owner who made no bones about the fact she did not like the English! Took our money though! Find a...friendlier place is our advice if you are English!More

Later on the way to Geneva on Motorcycle called in for a little snack . 2 hours later I was on my way . 4 guests were there specially from Paris . We visited this charming French Restaurant twice by chance without booking and were lucky to be seated as many locals followed, which is always a good sign. The service was excellent, food delicious and very good value for money. Parking was easy in the square,...which is very pretty and just a short walk from the river.More
Our group of 4 ate here on Saturday night and we were glad that we booked a table. Every aspect of our meals was of great quality. The entire scallops were the biggest and tastiest that we had ever eaten. The duck main course was...so tender and delicious. We all tried a different desert and each one was impressive. Our menu was about €34 and we thought this to be great value. We all left feeling full and satisfied which doesn't always happen after a restaurant meal. We felt lucky to be able to eat in such a restaurant so close to our holidays day house in Normandy.More
Finding somewhere open on a Sunday night was a bonus. We had been warned away from the restaurant as it was lacking in atmosphere but when we went in at lunchtime it was bustling and lively and could see no problem at all. However when...there are only one or two tables booked it is easy to see why it could be a little austere with its clean, white linen tablecloths and formal arrangement of tables. The food was very good however and perfectly presented and cooked. It was also very nice to have vegetables, often lacking in some restaurants. It was also very good value for money and we were struggling to eat it all. The staff seemed more welcoming at lunch when we booked that they did in the evening but perhaps they had had a long day. We also found it odd that the music came from a radio which was interspaced by people talking which was unintelligible because it was covered by the noise of people talking in the restaurant.More
we walked in on a Monday night were the town closes to find this little gem open and welcoming. They had Moules and Frits on as a special and they certainly were very special.
Overall this restaurant was a pleasure to dine. Good food, friendly staff, great value for money and the courses came at a good pace. What stopped me from giving a maximum score was the bread which was not as fresh as it one would require....Still a recommended venue though!More

Stopped in this town for a special event one afternoon on the first long weekend in May and decided to stay in town for dinner. I have a theory that all restaurants with the word "auberge" in them are always good. I have never been...mistaken and this was no exception. Service was good, the food was very nicely presented and very tasty. All in all really good value for the 3 course menus, especially since I live in the Paris area where prices are definitely not the same! They have several types of menus available for all kinds of budgets, which is nice. My only complaint is that the decor was a bit too contemporary and sober for my taste, but that is very subjective. Would certainly return if in this area again.More
Not overpriced for the food but the wine list appeared to be a bit on the heavy side. Service was slow despite an apparently very quiet night. Food was simple and reflected the reasonable price.
We had lovely 4 course meals of fois gras or salmon entrees followed by duck breast and chicken with cheese main courses, then a cheese selection and a choice of several terrific desserts. Great place of you're staying at a country inn or B&B outside...of the bustle of Rouen.More
Perfect location in Duclair. Excellent choice of fixed price meals. We went there twice in one week as we liked it so much.
Nice surroundings, attentive service and delicious food. I would thoroughly recomend this restaurant to anyone in the Rouen area.. There is a 12 euro (3 course) menu available before 9 p.m.
