I got one lampredotto sandwich with 4 euro. Good. “Lampredotto” is the intestine of cow. There are no tables and chairs to sit down. There is no bathroom. Park for car: no. Park for bike: no.

Lupen e Margo are an establishment that's been here for twenty years in the same spot and she is a gem to talk to, a fountain of stories of the area with her strong and joyful personality. Save yourself the trouble of eating upstairs at...the central market and get yourself a lampredotto or a trippa here and support local business and authentic fairly priced street food!More
We were referred to this nice food stand when we were searching for the famed lampredotto in the central market. It is a very famous street food in Florence and we felt we needed to give it a try. We ordered Lampredotto in a box...without any bread since we just wanted to sample the pure awesomeness of lampredotto and we were not disappointed! It is a perfect size to share and I imagine I could eat the whole thing too if I were a little hungrier. Highly recommended!More
I almost never trust street food from very turistic zones, but I saw local italians eating here, and I decided to try one panini. This local truck is located in the street market of via del ariento, and you can get lost but please look...for it. Watch out for the spicy sauce, it was good (and I'm mexican), but can be a little too much if you are not into that. Good prices and nice ladies.More
Beatrice, the owner, pours her love for Tuscan food into every sandwich she sells out of her food cart on the corner of Mercato Centrale and amidst the aroma of leather in the middle of the Leather Market. For more than four years, I have...enjoyed with glee each and everyone of my sandwiches purchased and prepared by Beatrice. She has seen me as a student learning Italian and living in Florence when I could barely string together a sentence in Italian to now where I can fluently carry on a conversation with her. Despite no longer living in Florence, she remembers me during my annual visits since I left four years ago. You will notice her stand is lined with Florentines who stop by during their lunch to chat about their day, life, and pick up a sandwich filled with either beef, tripe, jawl meat, and more. Pick your meat, decide if you want your bread bathed in the meat's broth, choose salt, pepper, the most delicious finely chopped green sauce (parsley and oil goodness), and spicy chili. She will cut the meat, arrange it on the roll she has just sliced for you, dress it however you want it, wrap it perfectly so that you don't drop one morsel as you enjoy it. Beatrice is humble, admirable, and absolutely memorable. If you are in Florence, do yourself a favor and stop by and see her for one of the best meals in the world!More
We saw the stand in the market and it was surrounded by people so we decided to try it for brunch! It was 3.50 euros for a Lampredotto sandwich ("lower stomach"/tripe) and we got it with chilli and basil. It was awesome since the chillies...were strong (we love spicy food!). The tripe was nice and tender so it was delicious to eat! It was also nice to see our food prepared on the spot and not mass produced - the man cut the meat in front of us, assembled the sandwich and customized it for us! Everything was fresh and yummy!! We recommend it!More
I tried both trippa and lampredotto from 3 different carts and Lupen e Margo di Beatrice Trambusti had the best trippa by far, I preferred the lampredotto from the other 2 places. Beatrice's trippa was tender, seasoned perfectly and spicy. I didn't get the sandwich,...just ordered a plate (less messy to eat). The other places allow you to get a combo plate of both trippa and lampredotto but Beatrice didn't do mixed. I had to order 2 separate plates,More
If you want to experience the ultimate traditional lunch or snack in Florence, this is a must. A Lampredotto sandwich, or portion of Lampredotto, bread bun on the side, but it has to be "bagnato" - dipped in the cooking broth to soften it. If...you don't eat offal forget it, but if you've never tried tripe before and just " think" you don't like it, give it a try, you might be surprised. Beatrice 's daughter is now running the stand selling the famous panini, and you can have a drink too. In the past you used to have to carry your sandwich to the vinaio on the corner of via S.Antonino. I've been going since the late '60's when I was in boarding school in Florence and the nuns didn't believe in 15 year old appetites. Llampredotto is, the cow's fourth stomach, and is darker than regular bleached tripe. It simmers slowly in a pot with carrots, celery, onion, and as the day progresses the broth becomes more and more flavoursome. That's another reason to have your bun dipped. The meat is pulled out of the broth, expertly sliced and chopped and placed in the dripping bun. you can have it with salsa verde-parsley, garlic , capers and olive oil- or salsa rossa, - hot chillies crushed in olive oil. Personally I prefer sale e pepe - just salt and pepper, so I can enjoy the full flavour. You'll find all sorts of people clustering round, from market labourers to bank tellers and the odd middle aged lady in a mink coat - maybe even me, I stop by whenever I'm passing through Florence. Fewer students since my time. Cheap and Delicious. Warning, this is just a stand, you huddle around it and eat on the hoof, exchanging comments with the other patrons or even just people watching, everyone is welcome.More
