Okay but not great. The food was fine, but definitely not as refined or special as some of the reviews are trying to make you believe. The scallops were so overdone they tasted like chicken. The poched egg was amazing. The octopus was not thatt...great. It looked nothing like the pictures on Tripadvisor. The admosphere was okay, the service was moderate. We had a good night, but far from great.More

I was looking something to eat nearby when everything else was closed and I was lucky to come to this place. Very friendly people. The staff kindly agreed to provide antipasti even after restaurant closed. Starters (zuccini) were very nice. Treated to wine and given...dessert. I felt the atmosphere of Florence from the first hour of my stay.More

My boyfriend and I went for dinner here tonight and I cannot emphasise enough what a pleasure it has been. We are a full 4 course meal and every dish that came out was perfection on a plate. (I ordered bruschetta, taglioni, beef tartare, and...biscotti, but there was so much to choose from I'd be keen to dine in again! The desserts are from a local patisserie and are outstanding. The menu is varied and flavourful, and of a decent portion size. The service was friendly and the staff were approachable and catered to all our needs. The family that run this place make sure to check in routinely whilst giving room to relax and enjoy the meal. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who desires a relaxed and delightful meal and warm attentive hosts. Simply excellent!More

This place is great! I visited with a group of friends not too long ago, and the atmosphere was chill and cool but the staff is also very friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the...customers happy is their main priority. The food was delicious, some Italian classics and some twists, and they have reasonable prices for their high-quality dishes.More

We visited this restaurant to celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary. We had an amazing meal. The restaurant is charming and the staff are very attentive. The food is excellent, definitely Michelin star quality. We shared four courses. The stuffed zucchini and asparagus tart starters were...delicious, the tortellini with burrata, aubergine and bacon was outstanding, as was the taglioni with vongole. The grilled octopus with lime and poppy seed potatoes was out of this world and the chocolate dessert was to die for . The house wine was excellent . If in Florence, you must visit this hidden gem.More

Small and super cozy family-run restaurant. The two brothers Tommaso and Andrea are great and friendly, but most of all I loved the quality of the food which is amazing.

This is a little hidden gem. The staff are friendly, the food is beautiful and the wine is great. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star is the portions are quite small. But they are well worth it for the incredible flavour!

We had a lively dinner at Culinaria! We sat outside across from the park, and chatted with our hosts Tommy and his brother Andrea. BYW, we told Tommy that Tiny Soprajo could be his doppelgänger, he was very proud. We also met their sister and...father who were lovely. On to the food- we had a scallops as an appetizer that were delicious and fresh bread to sop up the oil and herbs. They also prepared us crostini with fresh tomato and mozzarealla de buffalo. I had pumpkin risotto with shrimp which was perfect. Food, conversation and ambience was all fantastic. Please have dinner there- you won’t be disappointed.More

We just happened upon this restaurant while discovering Florence and all 6 of us were beyond thrilled with our food. The presentation, flavor, quantity and quality were top notch. On this trip we have dined in Venice, Lake Garda, Cinque Terre and Florence. We all...agree that this was one of the very best dining experiences we’ve had. Outstandingly delicious and unique. The owner was engaging, kind and caring. We will definitely make it a must stop place on future visits.More

I do not ordinarily submit TripAdvisor reviews, as my opinion seldom differs substantially from the consensus. This time, however, I am compelled to do so, given the unanimous five-star reviews and my own three-star experience. My wife and I visited this restaurant last night, based...on the outstanding TripAdvisor reviews and the photos, which look very good indeed. However, the actual the food was, in our experience, below average (and this is our second extended visit to Florence in the past year). The mushy shrimp were the worst we've had in Florence. The food that was served did not look AT ALL like the pictures of the food on this site . (Same pictures on the restaurant's site). Not the elegant presentation, not even the same plates as pictured. I note that virtually all the pictures are closeups are of food, and they all look uniform and close to professional. Suspicious, no? I saw only one picture of the interior, and it is the same restaurant. Looks like a scam to me. Especially given all the five-star reviews. (OK, I probably should have been suspicious based just on that.) To add insult to injury, the otherwise acceptable service by the young and a very solicitous (and inexperienced) server was seriously marred when we were asked by the manager, mid-meal, to move to a different table to accommodate a party of four that had just arrived (we had a reservation). We were appalled, and I regret having cooperated.More

We were wandering around Florence on a Saturday night trying to find dinner without a reservation and they were gracious enough to set up a table for us. This random place had strangely high reviews so we were willing to give it a chance, even...though from the outside it looked like nothing special. It ended up being the best place we ate across 18 days in Italy, and it wasn't even close. We still talk about the truffle egg dish and wonder how they could turn a few simple ingredients into something so special. As the single bad review here mentions, the service wasn't particularly fast, but it was obvious that the one server and small kitchen were really busy and we were just happy that they squeezed us in. This place is serving dishes that you'd expect at a Michelin-star restaurant with a small staff in a simple and unpretentious location and reasonable price. You could imagine Anthony Bourdain filming a segment here - this is a restaurant that just cares about its food. Lots of great options here for vegetarians too, which is not an easy find in Italy. After our dinner we thanked the owner and talked with him for 20 minutes about punk music and the Hebrew bible. The next time we're in Italy we don't have a choice - we have to go to Florence again just to come back to our new favorite restaurant.More

The food was outstanding. We had the octopus which was cooked exceptionally well. The staff were so accommodating and the manager came out to greet us which was a lovely touch. As the restaurant got busier the staff dealt well with the customers trying to...accommodate everyone - all with a smile. They were very welcoming. We walked over 1km to visit and it was well worth it - takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Florence centre but it does not take you away from the 1st class cuisine and service. Well worth the visit.More
