Spent 5 nights here exploring Lisbon.
PROS:
- Great location to explore the city, walking distance to many places and public transport routes, very near the river too.
- Has a gym (although very small)
- Nicely decorated and classy and very clean with air-con
- Has a sports bar which has a great atmosphere
- There is a mobile phone in the room which allows you to take it to town with free WiFi and 30mins of international calling. We did not use this but assume it will come in handy for some non-EU travellers.
- Breakfast was decent. Breads, fruit, yoghurt, few cereals and cured meats (could have better range for vegetarians!!). You cam also order omelettes and eggs from the menu)
- We feel the only member of staff who made us feel welcome and came up to talk to us was Sergio, so a big thank you to him! He also left us some Natas and Fruits in a room following a fire extinguisher incident which we had to wait half an hour to clear before we could enter our room on the 1st floor at about 10pm at night! He also suggested some good local restaurants.
- They have shampoo, conditioner and a hair dyer in the room which is great!
CONS:
- VERY small rooms! If you are looking to relax and spend a lot of time in your room, this may be a bit cramped option, or request a larger room type.
- Gym is large enough for 2-3 people only
- Slightly more expensive than the other hotels we looked at, but it was a nice hotel.
- Being on the 1st floor, we could hear all the cheering and shouting from the sports bar which was a little disturbing, probably better to request a higher level. This was one of my requests when we booked, but we were still given 1st floor.
- You only get a signed Ronaldo football if you book direct (we didn't book direct!)
