Michelle is very well informed on all the topics I love, especially the technical details that a food scientist and food science writer wants to know. If you want accurate facts on all things Parma, she is a great resource. She even knew the market share of local food producers like Barilla. Appreciated that she was very flexible and customer focused and tailored the tour to our interests and needs. I also loved hearing the opera history. All the vendors we visited were very generous with samples due to her influence. You can’t find a more devoted guide for Parma.

My husband and I spent a totally informative and interesting day with Michelle from Artemilia Tours today. We gained a huge respect for her intimate knowledge of the local food culture and for the artisanal nature of small food production in and around Parma.
Experiences at Parmigiana Reggiano, Parma ham and Traditional balsamic vinegar producers, and a delightful lunch showcasing some beautiful produce and wine with stunning views completed our tour. This tour did not disappoint!
Thanks Michelle for a very special experience and your warm hospitality,
Jacinta and Joe

Michelle hosted us on our tour which was booked only a week ago. We had her exclusive undivided attention and felt like VIPs as we visited a specialist parmigiano reggiano cheese producer and saw the whole process of manufacture ending with tasting the finished product over different aged years. We next went to a Parma prosciutto producer and again saw the different stages of production in an authentic manufacturing facility on the Parma foothills. We then had a lovely lunch at an agri-Turismo restaurant with sliced Parma hams, pasta and wine. We ended the tour with a visit to a specialist balsamic vinegar producer - and were amazed at the taste of the real product which ages for a minimum of 12 years. Looking forward to the dinner parties at home!!

Michelle’s knowledge of art history, and love for her home town, made for a very interesting tour. Time flew by real fast and, at the end, we were left with the feeling we had a great visit.

Michelle took us on a tour of a Parmiggiano factory and a Prosciutto factory. Both were great experiences. She is a fantastic guide and very knowledgable. I highly recommend going to the Agri Turismo afterwards for lunch, which she also organizes. Michelle and the tour were fabtastic!
