This bar is just 100 meters from grand canal. It is in the center of Venice. Nothing special you can find there. Tourist traps
We found this bar by chance and were very impressed with the quality of the wine for five Euros, and the extremely comfortable club chairs. The added bonus was a free bowl of potato chips.
had 2 cappuccinos and paid 3 euros each, i could not believe it, i am italian and in them most elegant coffe shop in Milano, standing at the bar you would never pay more than 1.7. in addition it was a terrible cappuccino. then we walked and saw that at Quadri, at the bar it would have been 1.5 euros. so this place is just a tourist rip-off
You will find when you travel to Italy, the best gelato is further away from the tourist sites. This would be a good example.
Gelato, luckily, is like pizza.
Even a mediocre pizza, is pizza.
Still tasty, but too expensive and forgettable.
Having looked forward to my first taste of Italian gelato in a year, this was disappointing. The price was fine, the gelato okay but the cone was stale and the serving was not packed down into the cone. Look further if searching for some gelato.
Visited for drinks prior to attending an opera nearby.
The setting was great with comfortable seating and prompt service. The beer was cold and maintained a "head" in the glass whilst the house wine was good and generous. There were a selection of free nibbles available of bread sticks, cheese and cold meat.
Will certainly visit again
