A gorgeous walk along the rocky coastline.
Most of the approx 3 km is very easy, and a few parts makes you focus on the path.
I ended up making this my morning run - beautiful and quiet!
The part of the trail between the beaches of Saint Claire & Le Lavandou is an easy walk on the solid well built path and will suit most people - I took it several times with my 70 yo mother and she never met with any difficulties.
Gorgeous path made along the sea makes for a nice evening stroll. Wear the right footwear. The walk is not at all dangerous but not recommended for families with kids or elders
On the second section from St Clair to La Fosset much is a very narrow path amongst the rocks with some of it broken by the sea and steep falls down to the rocks and sea below - we met the paramedics stretchering a fall casualty. Only recommended for the very fit and agile in proper footwear and then at your own risk.
We walked back to Saint Clair from la Fossette, my wife bare footed and me in trainers. It’s an enjoyable walk but we wouldn’t recommend it to under 5’s or if you are unsteady on your feet. I just managed to avoid getting my trainers wet but the sea was calm! if you don’t want to end up in the water wear appropriate footwear and be careful. The part from Saint Clair to Le Lavandou is a piece of cake by comparison.
This convoluted path on the rocks by the sea is delightful and goof fun!
It can be done with a good pair of grippy sandals. Would not recommend flip flops.
Best done in the morning as it gets really hot in full summer.
